Thursdays after the scheduled morning Mass at St Michael’s

Fridays after the scheduled evening Mass at St Mary’s

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT AT ST MARY’S

Mondays to Saturdays from 7.00am until 9.00am

HOLY HOUR

Sundays from 3.00pm – including Exposition, Divine Mercy Chaplet, Lenten Reflection and Litany

CONFESSIONS

Are available 45 minutes before the scheduled mass Mondays to Saturdays

Up to the end of March

PLEASE NOTE: No confessions during the Sacred Triduum

 
 

LENTEN TALKS

 
 

Jesus in the Desert: a talk on the temptations in the desert and their significance in the spiritual life. 7.00pm in St Marys upper hall

Friday 20th February.

All are welcome and refreshments will be available.

Four Last Things: a talk on what does the Church teach about the end of our earthly life and the life to come after it. 7.00pm in St Marys upper hall

1. Holy Thursday – 2nd April

11.00am — Stations of the Cross, at St Michael’s, Shepton Mallet

7.00pm — Solemn Mass of the Lord’s Supper celebrated at St Mary’s

followed by Stripping of the Altars and Watching until 10.00pm

[with Night Prayer at 9.45pm]

2. Good Friday – 3rd April

11.00am — Stations of the Cross at St Michael’s, Shepton Mallet

3.00pm — The Solemn Liturgy of the Passion celebrated at St Mary’s

NB: Good Friday is a day of Fasting and Abstinence

3. Holy Saturday – 4th April

9.30am — Polish blessing of baskets, at St Mary’s

11.00pm — Polish blessing of baskets, at St Michael’s, Shepton Mallet

9.00pm — Solemn Vigil of the Resurrection celebrated at St Mary’s

Easter Sunday – 5th April

9.00am – Mass at St. Michael’s, Shepton Mallet

11.00am – Mass (Sung) at St Mary’s
