The Glastonbury Shrine
The Shrine Church of Our Lady of Glastonbury serves as the heart of a vibrant Catholic community located in Glastonbury, Street, and the surrounding villages. It is the Diocesan Shrine of Our Lady, where she is venerated as the Mother of God. An annual Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Shrine takes place each year.
The Church is situated on Magdalene Street, directly across from the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey.
The Shrine also has a Facebook page for more information and updates.
Parish Hall lift Installation
Remedial work for the new hall lift has now begun. Every effort will be made to avoid disruption during bookings. Please note: the ground floor storeroom and the upper kitchen are strictly out of bounds until the lift installation is completed in October.
“DANGER – NO ENTRY” signs will be displayed. Any breach of this rule will result in the hall being closed for the remainder of the works.
The fundraising campaign to support the construction of the lift is continuing.
